How does the Control Panel work?

The Control Panel is where you can edit any information about your studio and contact info, your students and calendar events and your subscription.

It is broken up into several major sections that each include a number of subsections. Click a section heading below to visit that section in your Control Panel. You will be prompted to log in if you are not already.

Start Page

This is the main page of your Control Panel and shows you notifications, account status and site news.


Access your mailboxes, edit your contact list and edit Studio Tools email templates here.


Upload images and MP3s. Manage uploaded media files. Embed online video from YouTube or Vimeo.


This section includes profile page text, lesson info, remote lessons, professional references and custom URL settings.


Edit information about your lesson location(s) & timezone here. Set your inhome travel radius, fees charged & lesson hours.


View your current subscription information and upgrade or cancel your subscription. Edit your contact & log-in information. Set your SMS alerts for inquiries.

Studio Tools

The sections below comprise our Studio Tools and only appear with a premium subscription.


View your studio calendar, add/edit/reconcile events and configure daily lesson summary emails.


View and edit your studio rosters. See your current roster, waitlist and former student list.


See data about all financial information. Create a materials inventory, invoice students, track your mileage and create reports.

Studio Website

Create a studio website complete with calendar, bulletin board, access to PDFs and MP3s and a way for students to pay you using your PayPal account. Students get access to lesson notes, can set a practice goal and keep a practice log by creating a free student account.

What is Lesson Maestro?

Lesson Maestro is a web application that facilitates connections between music students and music teachers. Music teachers and schools can create a searchable profile page advertising their music lessons which students can browse, then ultimately use to contact the teacher to set up lessons.

While Lesson Maestro is free for all students to use, member teachers may opt for a free Basic Subscription or pay a monthly fee for a feature-packed Premium Subscription.

How do I join Lesson Maestro as a music teacher?

To enroll, go to this page.

A little ways down the page you will see a chart describing the different subscription types and their features. Choose the type you want then press the button that says "join now" then fill out a short form and you're done.

How much does Lesson Maestro cost for music teachers?

FREE! Join Lesson Maestro for no cost. This is not a free trial. Use for free as long as you like!

To take advantage of all the great features at Lesson Maestro, get a premium subscription. Plans start at only $4.99 per month.


How do I upload an image or mp3?

Visit the media section in your Control Panel and click on "file upload" or click here. This page will instruct you how to go about uploading a file.

How do I add text to my profile page?

Add text by going to the profile section in your Control Panel and press the link that says "profile text." Or just click here.

Can I add extra lesson locations to my account?

Yes, paid subscribers can add extra lesson locations to their account for $1 USD per month.

Visit the account section of your Control Panel then click on the "modify subscription" or "upgrade" button. Or just click here to purchase.

Can I add remote lessons to my account?

Yes, paid subscribers can add remote lesson types to their account for $1 USD per month. Click here to purchase.

How can I enhance my profile page?

The two things that will help your profile page the most are adding an image and some brief biographical text.

If you are a premium subscriber make sure to upload an audio clip and embed your YouTube or Vimeo video.

How do I set up lessons with a teacher?

Use the button marked "Contact teacher" on the teacher's profile page to inquire about music lessons. The teacher will receive your message and will get back to you about setting up lessons. If you don't hear back from the teacher in a few days, please try again or contact us.

How do I contact customer support or the webmaster?

Events - Studio Tools

This section includes all calendar and scheduling features as well as event reconciliation and daily summary settings.


View your calendar in a monthly, weekly or daily view. Get important information at a glance and view and edit event details.

New Event

Add a new one-time or recurring event(s) and set automatic event announcements and reminder emails.

Reconcile Events

Keep track of attendance for your records and for invoicing purposes. Quickly send payment receipts and lesson notes to students.


Configure daily summary emails. Opt to receive an email every day you have studio events scheduled outlining your day of lessons, overdue materials and current balance for each student.

Calendar Settings

Customize your own event categories, set default calendar view and adjust other settings here.
